When we reviewed online concert tickets, TicketCity was offering free standard shipping. And while this is certainly a nice feature, it doesn’t bring the final cost down enough for TicketCity to have the lowest tickets available. This is mostly thanks to the extremely high service fee, which is 20% of the selling price.

Features:  

TicketCity may buy your tickets outright. This is convenient because you don’t have to list them yourself and wait while they sell (if they sell). Of course, this service comes at a high price, typically to the tune of 30% of the face value of the tickets. TicketCity does purchase tickets to all sorts of events, but is obviously only going to buy tickets they are confident they can resell.

TicketCity also has some other convenient features, including speedy shipping options and gift cards. Not only are gift cards from TicketCity a great gift idea, but they can be purchased in any dollar amount starting at $25.

Ease of Use:  

TicketCity.com is relatively easy to use, but lacks some nice search functionality. The website is very professional, and utilizes seating charts alongside the ticket listings. Unfortunately, several of the events we searched for didn’t have seating charts available through TicketCity.

Security:  

TicketCity is approved by the Better Business Bureau and is a secure place to locate and purchase concert tickets. Because the tickets are actually in possession of TicketCity and not an at-home seller, they can guarantee that the tickets sold are authentic and that shipping will be timely. TicketCity.com is further protected with VeriSign Security.

Help/Support:  

The help and support for TicketCity is great. Not only does the webpage have an easy to use and detailed help center, but they also offer live chat. Users can connect with a live service representative and chat online to have questions answered immediately.

TicketCity is a decent place to find, purchase, and sell concert tickets. Unfortunately, the service is missing some nice features, and doesn’t have the best prices for comparable tickets.
